INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA IN LANGUAGE TEACHING MANAGEMENT University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the School for International Training and ICTE-UQ have formed a global partnership to jointly award the International Diploma in Language Teaching Management. The International Diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM) enables Language Teaching professionals to apply insights and skills derived from management theory and practice to their work as Language Teaching managers. COURSE DELIVERY The IDLTM is offered in Brisbane, Australia by ICTE-UQ and in Danang, Vietnam by the University of Danang-University of Queensland English Language Institute (UD-UQ ELI) and involves an initial 2 week, full time, face to face component running from 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday. The remainder of the course is taught in flexible delivery mode over a 6 month period and concludes with an online capstone. The course is offered on an open enrolment basis and to groups or cohorts from institutions or professional organisations. The Diploma encompasses an introductory unit (non-assessed) and 8 compulsory modules with assignment-based assessment for each module. COURSE CONTENT The course comprises the following syllabus areas:
ASSESSMENT One assignment will be set for each unit except the Introductory unit. Assignment lengths vary from 1000-3000 words depending on the unit. The assignment types also differ, depending on the nature of the unit, for example, essay, costed proposal and marketing plan. ATTENDANCE The IDLTM involves an initial 2 weeks of face-to-face teaching with the remainder of the course in flexible delivery mode over a six-month period and concludes with an online capstone. CREDIT TOWARDS FURTHER QUALIFICATIONS Participants who successfully complete the IDLTM at ICTE-UQ will be eligible for credit of 4 units (2 courses) towards the Master of Education (Leadership) offered by The University of Queensland's Graduate School of Education. Participants who successfully complete the IDLTM at SIT may elect to earn 7 graduate credits for the course. IDLTM graduates can make an application to any college or university for recognition of hours spent undertaking the course and commensurate academic credit on an individual basis. DATES & FEES
