CAMBRIDGE CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING TO ADULTS
(CELTA)

The Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) is an internationally recognised qualification which provides pre-service training in English language teaching to adults. It is intended for people without previous teaching experience who wish to enter the profession and for those teachers who already have TESOL experience but do not hold a qualification in TESOL.

The CELTA is designed, delivered and evaluated by ICTE-UQ and awarded by Cambridge ESOL, part of the University of Cambridge (UK). The CELTA is offered full-time over four weeks or part-time over 12 weeks at ICTE-UQ on the St Lucia campus of The University of Queensland.

ICTE-UQ offers regular, free CELTA information sessions providing an opportunity for interested applicants to meet with CELTA trainers and obtain detailed information about course content, assessment and employment options for graduates.
