Go Global - 3 Steps to Success

Step 1: Improve Your Global English Communication Skills (10 or 15 weeks)

Undertake 10 or 15 weeks of quality intensive English language training with ICTE-UQ, one of Australia’s leading English language providers.
Study English in a global environment with students from over 40 countries. Make friends and improve your global communications and cross cultural understanding.
Choose from one of the following courses:

Step 2: Preparation for the Global Workforce

Expert industry trainers will prepare you for the global workforce with a training program that includes:
  • Job application and interview skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Problem solving, self-management and work planning skills

You will receive a total of 30 hours of specialised workplace preparation training. Sessions are delivered part-time during step 1 and as an intensive one-week block before progressing to step 3.

Step 3: Professional Internship (8 weeks)

Gain valuable global professional work experience through an 8-week professional internship.
Your professional internship will provide you with entry into the network of Australian and multinational companies and government organisations participating in the program as host workplace-training providers.
You will be placed with a host in a position that matches your education and employment background as well as future career aspirations. You will undertake professional full-time work projects and receive specialised professional training and workplace experience.
The Go Global professional internship is coordinated by ICTE-UQ program partner Australian Internships (AI). AI was established in 1998 and is a member of the Australian Internships Industry Association (AIIA). AI specialises in arranging internships for young professionals seeking international experience and has developed a reputation for providing high quality internship placement and support services.

  • Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Human Resources and Legal Services
  • Education, Government Policy & Public Administration, Community and Non-profit Organisational Services
