ENROLMENT

You can apply to enrol in any of our English Language Courses by completing this Online Form. Please make sure to carefully read and understand the information contained on this page, prior to completing and sending the online form.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students must provide documentary evidence of English language proficiency to the minimum level indicated (or equivalent as determined by ICTE-UQ) before acceptance into the following courses:

  • EAP I IELTS 5.0 (no score less than 5.0)
  • EAP II IELTS 5.5 (no score less than 5.5)
  • EIBC I/ESP:TESOL I/ESP: T&H I IELTS 5.0 (5 in speaking and writing)
  • EIBC II/ESP:TESOL II/ESP: T&H II IELTS 5.5 (5.5 in speaking and writing)
  • ESP:BEP
  • AECS IELTS 5.5 (6 in Speaking and Listening, 5 in Reading and Writing)
  • ESP:ACS Evidence of unconditional acceptance into UQ degree studies
  • EAC Evidence of enrolment in a UQ degree program

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

  • A full refund of tuition fees and other charges will be made if an ICTE-UQ course is fully booked, is cancelled, or an application for a student visa is rejected (Proof of this is required within 2 weeks from the date of notice of default).
  • Notification of cancellation of a course must be made in writing and addressed to the Deputy Director (Administration), ICTE-UQ. A written response will be provided within 7 working days. Any refund that may be granted will be paid within 4 weeks from the date of the notice of cancellation. Please note that your course is considered to be the total number of weeks in which you have enrolled.
  • Cancellations received more than 4 weeks before the course commencement will normally receive a refund of tuition fees, OSHC and airport transfer fees less a cancellation administration charge equivalent to one week of the current published tuition fee.
  • Cancellations received less than 4 weeks before the course commencement will normally receive a refund of tuition fees, OSHC, and airport transfer fees less a cancellation fee of up to five weeks of the current published tuition fee. 
  • Cancellations received after course commencement will not be eligible for a refund of tuition fees.
  • The enrolment fee and homestay placement fee are not refundable. No enrolment fee is charged on re-enrolments (re-enrolment is  defined as an extension of the original period of study without break)
  • This agreement, and the availability of complaints and appeals procedures, does not remove the right of the student to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws; neither does it remove a student’s right to pursue other legal remedies.

  • Students must understand and accept the terms of the ICTE-UQ refund/cancellation policy.
  • Students must understand and accept the terms of the ICTE-UQ homestay payment information.
  • The following ICTE-UQ courses, ESP:BEP, EAP, EIBC, ESP:TESOL, ESP: T &H and AECS, require a prerequisite level of English for entry.

 

CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

  • The following ICTE-UQ courses, ESP:BEP, EAP, EIBC, ESP:TESOL, ESP: Tourism & Travel and AECS, require a prerequisite level of English for entry.
  • Students will be tested on commencement of their course and placed in a class at the appropriate English language level.
  • Students must complete all class work, assignments, activities and assessments in order to maintain satisfactory progress.
  • Students studying on a student visa must attend at least 80% of their course. If they fail to do so they can be reported to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
  • Students must notify ICTE-UQ within 3 working days if they change their Brisbane address.
  • Information provided by students may be made available by ICTE-UQ to Australian, Commonwealth and State agencies pursuant to obligations under the ESOS Act and the National Code. This may include personal and contact details, course enrolment details, changes and circumstances of any suspected breach of student visa conditions.
  • ICTE-UQ can share information about a student’s course and progress with their university or college, sponsor or educational representative.
  • School-aged dependants accompanying students will be required to pay full fees at a private or government school in Australia.
  • Students are fully responsible for their educational and living expenses while studying at ICTE-UQ.
  • If holding a student visa, by signing the ICTE-UQ enrolment form, students agree to enter into and be subject to the terms and conditions of the OSHC Worldcare policy (www.oshcworldcare.com.au).
  • ICTE-UQ has the right to change its fees and conditions, cancel or defer courses, and to alter course timetables and class locations at any time without notice.
  • ICTE-UQ will use a student’s personal email address if one is supplied with their ICTE-UQ enrolment to communicate any matters relating to their enrolment at ICTE-UQ.
  • Students give consent to ICTE-UQ to make reasonable enquiries to DIAC on their visa and to these details being shared with Government and Health Insurers for the purposes of ensuring that visa conditions for staying in Australia are maintained.
  • Students must agree to abide by the regulations of ICTE-UQ and The University of Queensland.
