English Language Support for UQ Students

(ICTE-UQ) offers English language support courses to UQ International students at no additional charge. These courses are funded by UQ.

Pre-semester courses
English for Specific Purposes: Academic Communication Skills (ESP:ACS) is a full-time three-week preparatory course offered prior to each UQ semester. Read more…
 
In-Semester courses
English for Academic Communication (EAC) is a part-time eight week course (24 hours total) delivered during each UQ semester. Students can select from four course streams. Read more…
 
Customised courses
ICTE-UQ offers customised English language support courses and professional communication workshops for students enrolled in the following UQ degree programs:
  • Master of Arts – Chinese Interpreting and Translation and Applied Linguistics
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Bachelor of Dentistry and Bachelor of Oral Health
