STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Fabiana Annenberg (Brazil)

An architect by profession, Fabiana Annenberg was undergoing an internship with an Architectural company in São Paulo, Brazil when she realised the need to improve her English. Her career dream is to work as an Industrial Design Architect in her hometown and some day to start her own business. After much research of English schools, Fabiana chose ICTE-UQ because of its high reputation and recommendations. The ten-week English language course (FCE program) has met her expectations and has helped to improve her communication skills, especially listening. In her spare time Fabiana enjoys dancing, yoga and going to the theatre and cinema. After the completion of the ICTE-UQ course Fabiana plans to travel to Cairns and New Zealand before returning to Brazil.

Brian Park (South Korea)

Brian Park was working for Wella Korea for one and a half years as a marketing assistant before enrolling in a ten-week English language course at ICTE-UQ. He came from Seoul, Korea and he hopes to improve his English to get accepted into a Masters of Commerce course at the University of Queensland. Brian chose ICTE-UQ for his English study as his friends and previous students recommended it to him, along with the knowledge that Brisbane is a quiet and clean city compared to Seoul. In his spare time Brian enjoys watching movies and listening to music. On the completion of his studies Brian hopes to travel to Tasmania to enjoy the sights.

Dr. José Alberto Escandón (Colombia)

Possibly the highest qualified student at ICTE-UQ in 2003, Dr. José Alberto Escandon has taken time away from his fast-paced life in Bogotá, Colombia to spend 15 weeks at ICTE-UQ improving his English language skills and to take a rest in Australia's quiet and relaxing surroundings. Alberto is the Head of the Department of Labour Law and Specialisation in a Colombian university "Sergio Arboleda" and he is also active as a lawyer, teacher and enterprise advisor. He is also an avid golfer and fisherman which he intends to try out while in Australia. Alberto chose ICTE-UQ after he saw an advertisement in a magazine. His choice was precise as his confidence in his English speaking and reading has improved greatly.

Jah Supitchaya (Thailand)

Working towards her goal of completing a Masters in Engineering, Thai student and former Engineer Jah Supitchaya recently completed ten weeks English Language study at ICTE-UQ. Jah has enjoyed the course and found it to be quite effective in improving her English Language skills and subsequently her IELTS score, which was necessary for her to be accepted into her degree program. Like many students at ICTE-UQ though, Jah has allowed for some well earned travel time at the end of her course, being sure to see the sights of Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra before leaving Australia to study her Masters Degree in the United Kingdom. Listing travel as her favourite hobby, Jah will definitely be spending a great deal of time doing what she loves most over the next few years.
